MAN IN KASHMIR FASTENED TO ARMY JEEP AS A SHIELD

"Tied to his chest is a piece of paper, on which his name is scrawled. 'Look at the fate of the stone-pelter,' a soldier announced over a loudspeaker, a video of the episode shows."

For decades, these two nuke-capable countries (Pakistan and India) have been fighting over a few hundred acres of Everest-type mountain ranges.

If Ghandi and Malala were in charge ...

100 DAYS OF HORROR

"The clock is being turned back. Vulnerable populations are under relentless attack by this administration. This is a war, and that is not hyperbole or exaggeration."

A PLAQUE FOR LYLE IN MONUMENT PARK? MANY FANS SAY YES, BUT HE DISAGREES

Lyle does not want a plaque. "'[I] don't belong in Monument Park at Yankee Stadium,' Lyle insisted, and he doesn't believe a lot of other recent honorees do, either."

Compare Gossage and Lyle (Yankee-only stats):

Gossage: 42 wins, 151 saves and a 2.14 ERA.
Lyle: 57 wins, 141 saves with a 2.41.

Tino Martinez hit .276 with the Yankees and he gets a plaque. How are Lyle's stats not good enough?

Give him a plaque.
